What is IEEE?

If you are viewing this newletter you are a current newletter recipient of the IEEE Carleton Student Branch. You probably already know who we are, but if you signed up for this for no reason- let us give you an intro on who were are!

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the largest technical professional organization in the world. Since 1975, the IEEE has been a diverse group of students at Carleton interested in engineering, computer science and other technical fields! We are a smaller community within the IEEE Ottawa Branch and host numerous social events throughout the year at Carleton and across the Greater Ottawa Region. No- you do not have to be in electrical engineering or anything engineering to join! So, if you know people who are interested in being a part of a tight-knit group we are always ready to welcome in new members. Feel free to share this newsletter with your friends as well!

If you ever want to visit us, we are located in the Mackenzie Building Room 3359.
